Welcome to Home from Home Family Childcare

At Home from Home we are committed to providing good communication links between us, the parents, their children and their families, the Educarer's and other services out in the community. Good communication is a priority for everyone involved. Parents are encouraged to attend the regular playgroup sessions or drop by the office for a chat. To help nurture good relationships with their Educator we encourage several settling visits prior to enrolment so that a child's first day is less stressful for all concerned! 

Children receive a portfolio containing significant milestones which can be looked at any time and taken home so that all of the family can get a glimpse of what happens in their child's day while in care with us.

Because of the quality of care that is achieved through low teacher-child ratios (children are cared for in groups of four or less) and fully trained ‘educarers’, Home based Childcare has become a first option for parents now. Children are taken to many activities parents like their children to do. It is a safe, happy learning environment for a child to flourish in.

Our Educarer's are chosen carefully, people who are warm, friendly, caring and willing to train. Comprehensive safety checks are carried out on homes and children are sighted at least once per month in the home and weekly at playgroups and at other activities in the community and the wider Rodney district by qualified Registered ECE Teachers. At Home from Home teachers and office staff are committed to getting to know all of the children and their families as well as we possibly can.

We ask for feedback and always act upon any ideas that are contributed ensuring that everybody involved in our company feels valued as important members of "The Team". On the Hibiscus Coast parents have a wide range of preschool options to choose from which is only fair as your child's preschool education and care is one of the most important decisions you will ever make! Home from Home will go the extra mile for you, we will do everything we can to ensure your child is in the best day care situation to suit everyone's requirements.
